I was blessed this last week to spend some time with my sister and her family in Pennsylvania... Their farm is situated deep in the country, near the edge of a large Amish community, so I took great delight this week in doing things I loved but couldn't do in the city. =) Going barefoot all day long and laying down in the grass with an ice cream cone after spending a couple of hours hoeing my sister's garden were probably my favorite! And Anna kept telling me that she wanted me to stay "forever and ever..." It was a great week--even with the lack of sleep and all the rain!--thanks for letting me come and stay with you, Josh and Suzi!
Little Becca being her silly self at the Lake.
Anna and one of her precious kittens--she's very responsible in taking care of them! She'll often be heard saying, "Mommy, my kitties need me! I have to help them!" =)

Oldfields Gardens
"I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever...
"I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. [I will] abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness...
"They shall speak of the glory of [his]kingdom, and talk of [his] power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom...
"The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfieth the desire of every living thing...

"...[Lord] I am continually with You: You have held me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel...Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is no one on earth that I desire beside You. My flesh and my heart fails: but You are the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever...It is good for me to draw near to You, my God: I have put my trust in You, that I may declare all Your works." Psalm 73:23-28
. . . . .
I like change. At least when I'm the one doing the changing. =) I love to visit new places, make new things, rearrange furniture (I used to do this ALL the time!) and redecorate rooms, wear my sisters' clothes, fix my hair curly or straight, and be random every once in a while--all just for something different. And this morning I felt like doing something a little different, thus a few modifications. So now you may all comment as often as you'd like! ;-) Happy Saturday!

O-Kun-De-Kun Falls: An Adventure
The middle of May found Skyler with a few other young men from ITC up in Northern Michigan on a backpacking adventure--the reward of a challenge designed to motivate each involved to seek the Lord and endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. The guys enjoyed themselves immensely! Pictures are obviously a li'l late in coming, but better late than never...here are a few that captured their time in the North quite well.
Exhausted already now that they finally have their packs on. ;-)
Enjoying a lunch of MREs.
Not exactly a difficult feat, but after hiking eight miles with a 50-lb pack, anything makes you feel victorious.
The camp site.
Preparing breakfast--pancakes, bacon and eggs.
No camping experience is ever complete or thoroughly enjoyed without coffee. Ask Patrick.
The snapping turtle Skyler found while hiking and ended up carrying it nearly 10 miles just so Micah could take a picture of it!
After their hike back, the Conference Center was a welcome sight!
Kayaking on Wolf Lake at the Northwoods.
Sunset off the lake.

Fishing Fascination
Hopefully before long we'll have pictures of some of the things we've been doing this week...such as a Ladies' Tea Party for the ITC staff ladies and a couple of trips to Eagle Creek Park...One in the rain with dear friends, and another just yesterday with all of the staff.
This picture was taken yesterday by Mr. Ritchie--it captured the little boys' afternoon of fishing quite well! They even caught a tiny catfish and were rather pleased with themselves. ;-)
