Pictures have been few and far between recently, not because we haven’t taken any pictures or don’t have anything to write about, but mostly because I (Sara--the usual blog authoress) have been incredibly busy. I spent a week (July 22-28) volunteering in the kitchen at Miracle Mountain Ranch--it was an amazing week, with lots of laughter, tears, and memories made. I loved being able to spend time with old friends and I even made a few new ones too! A few memories that will be hard to forget: singing “Matchmaker, Matchmaker” with Jess after bunkhouse Bible study (by request of the other girls); “So, Jonah, why are women so complicated?”; being surprised and encouraged by flowers given to me by my sweet friend Lydia on a particularly wearisome day; “Salad! Get your free salad!”; taking afternoon walks around the “loop”; talking with Krista; and so many more! God blessed us all with a truly wonderful week, and I will forever be grateful for the time that I was able to spend at the Ranch this summer.

Skyler and I were graciously invited to travel with the dearest Heagys to Indianapolis, IN this last weekend. The object of our journey was to take Lydia to the Indianapolis Training Center where she will be staying and working with EQUIP until Christmas. En route to ITC, we spent a day at AIG’s Creation Museum--an amazing tribute to the awesomeness and power of God through His creation--and on the way home, we spent an afternoon at Conner Prairie--a living history center of prairie life in IN during the 19th century. Our trip to Indy and back was definitely a long one (although accomplished in only 2 days), but I love to travel if only for the sake of traveling, so I enjoyed every minute of it! I’m so thankful for the Heagys’ willingness to allow Skyler and I to accompany them and for their generosity throughout the entire trip! We couldn’t ask for better or dearer friends…

Pictures will be forthcoming--our camera broke after only two precious pictures, so the rest were taken with the Heagy’s camera, which means that the pictures are all at the Heagys at the moment!
